. . .
Tania grew up in a small town in Northern Wisconsin. As the daughter of a German immigrant, she was afforded the opportunity to travel abroad young, to see her family. This sparked an immediate interest in the cultural contrast between the two halves of her family and inspired her current passions.
Tania double majored in Russian Language and Literature and Chinese Language and Literature earning two BA’s from Michigan State University. She studied abroad for nearly two and a half years, immersing herself in the cultures and furthering her knowledge of various cultural nuances.
She returned to university completing a MA in Intelligence Studies at American Military University. During her academic career at AMU she focused on cross-cultural nonverbal communication as it applies to interrogation. She would go on to complete a subsequent MA program in Psychology and expand her interest in cross-cultural nonverbal communication, to applications in human intelligence collection, establishing rapport, developing training programs in government systems, and testing for cultural competency.
Tania is now a doctoral student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in the International Psychology program, Organizations and Systems track, where she continues her work in the aforementioned areas.
